Flaming Gorge

Since everything up that way is litered in dinosaurs, Trent was in heaven! He found the pictures from our last Flaming Gorge trip several months ago and has been asking to go back ever since. This trip couldn't have come at a better time!

We were invited by Ben's parents to Flaming Gorge for a few days to fish and visit. We had such a great time. The boys did so great sleeping at night...I love that part! Trenton certainly has Spencer blood in him because all he wanted to do was fish. It was so windy and he just wanted to stay. I don't think anything bothers him - not the sun or rain that we got while there. He just wanted to stay and stay. He's pretty good at casting. The first night he was given the choice between fishing and swimming and he chose fishing. That doesn't come from me! It's so fun to see him grow up!
On the way to this first fishing spot Trenton threw up all over himself in the car. Well, of course he felt better after that and wanted to go fishing. He started crying when Ben announced his decision to take him back to the hotel. Since he wasn't sick we just got him cleaned up and changed and took him fishing. Cured everything!
Tyler learned how to throw rocks and thought he could try everything because he's figured out the turning around to go backwards trick. It was sure great having him put himself to sleep at night. I guess when you're stuck in a playpen you don't have many options!
There were a few lizards out and Trent had to investigate them with his new "night vision" toy from the night before. That toy is an airplane, jet, and camera...who knew? Of course no trip is complete without a trip to "the NEW dinosaur place" according to Trenton. We were very happy to take him and it was completely worth it! Look at this "ready to sleep all the way home" face! Ben & I have vacationed at Flaming Gorge 3 times in the past five years and love it. It is so pretty up there and we always have a good time. Thank you, Mom & Dad for inviting us to come with you this year!
