The week before Trenton's birthday we had a reunion with Ben's mom's side of the family. It was right up the canyon and super close for us, which was great! We went out for dinner and my mother-in-law wanted to see him open his present (of course) so we did it there. The waiters singing was quite surprising to Trenton (first picture) and it was so funny to see his face and try to figure out what was going on. He knew it wasn't his birthday yet. After a few moments he got it though and loved opening the present.
The morning of Trent's birthday was fun....but Tyler is the one that got everything going. Trenton got up and got a bowl of cereal and went and watched a movie he had wanted to stay up the night before and watch. Tyler could not understand why we were not opening presents and eating cake and having a party!!
Trenton wanted a star wars/pool party. I was good with inside or out, but not both. He choose star wars cake and mostly just having a great water fight in the backyard. It was a lot of fun! He got several water guns, which he loves, and all the boys had a really great time! Of course, Tyler was the there asking when we could move onto presents, or cake. Trenton was really just content to have the water fight with so many of his friends and he had to be talked into doing the other stuff eventually. :)
Trent picked out all the guys he wanted on the cake. I thought it turned out cute for how easy it was! (P.S. If you ever want to put lego guys on your cake, don't worry about clean up. It was so easy to flush everything out because the guys all have those holes in the back of their legs. It was so fast!)
Trenton was really happy to turn 7 and have a great party. He has so many great friends that we've been able to meet through the years and it was awesome that so many of them could come, even just a few days before the start of school. Trenton told me the party was a success, which is all I go for with these. And backyard water parties are so easy. Hopefully he wants this a few more years!
Happy 7th Birthday, Trenton!!
