Wow! I don't think it's ever taken me this long to catch up on life after a trip and actually gear up to do something! Must be my kids reminding me that some things really can wait! :)
So, California...
We arrived Late Wednesday night and split up on Thursday. Tyler and I planned for and threw Jasmyn's bridal shower at my Mom's house and Ben and Trent helped Ben's Dad build some bunk beds at a girl's camp. Then they went to a Dodger game with Marc during the shower. I really wanted to go to the game, but I'll have to hit one another time because there just wasn't a day the Dodgers were playing that we could go together.

Friday was great - we spent the day setting up for the reception and transformed the church. Mom did a great job and the place looked gorgeous. (It was very nice to have everyone around who stayed and helped clean up after Marc and Jasmyn took off. We only cleaned until 10:30pm and the place looked spotless!) Friday night everyone went over to Scandia for pizza and fun. It was great to visit and have everyone be able to spend some fun time together before the big, long wedding day on Saturday.
Well, of course Saturday was great for our family - we still got to visit and hang out with all our family. It's so different than being the couple getting married.

Saturday was such a fun, memorable day and I loved being able to be in the temple to watch Jasmyn and Marc and be with so many family members and friends. They had so much support for them and I hope they realize how much people love them. My two sisters, Heather and Giselle, were amazing in how much they helped Ben and I out with the boys. All while we were setting up, cleaning up and during the wedding, Heather and Giselle just watched our little boys and made it possible for Ben and I to pitch in and help out. Thanks Girls!

Sunday we rested and tried to catch up on sleep. We also visited with the Nehring family and all the Collette's before everyone headed back home. It was of course a big food party at my Mom's home and she just kept making sure everyone had enough plus plenty of ice cream to fill in the cracks! Mom's always been good at that.
Monday was Disneyland! It was so much fun! We went with the Hansens and Trent and Spencer just loved being able to play in the lines together. I think the boys had a lot of fun. We probably wouldn't have gone again this soon since our last trip but since the Hansens were going it was nice to be able to leave kids for a quick ride and then switch. However, with four kids there were plenty of stares and funny questions about us being Mormon with all our kids three and under! We hope the Hansens had a great time, too! (Trent checking out the Disneyland map to guide us!)

Tuesday we could barely open our eyes after just pushing ourselves so long, but finally in the afternoon we were able to make it over to the Bradley's and then all head over to Scandia again for the boys and also since the Hansens didn't get a chance to play on Friday night. Tuesday was just a whatever day and it was nice to catch up on much needed relaxing and sleep! Wednesday we lazily awoke and got moving to head home. It was a great trip and we wish we could have fit in more play time, but we are also glad to be home and back to the kids not waking up until after 7am! Those time changes can really mess up your sleep when kids don't understand!
Congratulations to Marc and Jasmyn! Thank you for letting us be a part of your big day! Now it's on to the rest of our busy summer of making more memories with family and friends and each other.
