Valentine's

Valentine's started out with big plans, but since there are several things we're not sure about right now, we kept it very low-scale. We decided we'd combine our anniversary with the things planned for Valentines. So, instead, I made Ben breakfast - which almost never happens on the weekends and it was all his favorite things: sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns, the perfect temperature orange juice & waffles. My valentine roses...Ben usually just gets me potted plants that will last, but it was fun to get some beautiful roses this year! We always give each other fairly practical gifts, so it's fun to surprise each other just a little. My favorite gift everytime are the love letters that he writes me. It's probably because we wrote each other all the time since we were 14 and have binders full of our letters to each other - to me those letters that Ben continues to write are the best gifts ever!
We gave the boys each something small that Trent had decided he wanted a few weeks ago. I'm so proud of myself for actually keeping it until Valentine's day and not breaking it out before. And the boys got a box filled with things from Grandma Spencer. This picture really was meant to show Trenton sweetly hugging Tyler...but Ty didn't seem to mind!
