We have been reading every Halloween library book we can get our hands on; watching all sorts of fun movies - It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown & The Legend of Sleepy Hollow; and listening to great songs like The Monster Mash & Thriller.
Tyler can quote much of The Great Pumpkin movie - and does. It's so cute because of his 4-year-old lisp. And then he's started to drag around his blankets and call himself Linus - he already drags his blankets around so this isn't much of a stretch.
We only have pumpkins and squash left in our garden - everything else has been picked or dug up and cleaned out. But it still looks like a big mess of vines and growth. One night, after listening to Tyler quote some of the movie, Ben announced that he was going to wait in our pumpkin patch for the great pumpkin on Halloween night. Tyler laughed and laughed. But Ben is insistent - and that he (Ben) will keep all the candy the Great Pumpkin brings for himself, too. It's so funny! And we actually kinda have a pumpkin patch....

That's what we have been doing too.
Between the 2 of us we probably have the entire library of Halloween books checked out. Maybe we should do a swap - instead of turning them back in.
